Hélène Montpetit (b. 1954, Lachine, Canada) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Île‑Bizard whose practice spans graphite, pastel, watercolour, and acrylic. Her work centres on intimate, human‑scaled moments—acts of care, resilience, and quiet connection—drawn from everyday life. Whether portraying a bookseller absorbed in his world, a man teaching a child at the wheel, or two youths navigating the edges of urban survival, Montpetit reveals the dignity and complexity within ordinary experience. Her style blends sensitivity, narrative depth, and a keen observational eye. She has exhibited in group and juried shows, including Viva Vida Art Galleries, and her works are held in private collections in North America and Europe.
